Looking for an Alternative to Read-only LUNs, Replication and File Shares for PVS HA?: Have you recently upgraded to PVS 6.0? Did you happen to notice the Read-only LUN feature has been removed? Was it a feature you used previously to consolidate your vDisks and make vDisk management and maintenance easier? Other options such as replication and file shares introduce data management overhead, inefficient use of storage and single points of failure, and offer no ability to scale, less-than-stellar performance and various other unfavorable results.…
