Deploying Lync Jump Start (9): Monitoring Microsoft Lync Server 2010: This talk describes a new data warehouse SQL query acceleration feature in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 based on a new type of index called the columnstore. This new index,combined with enhanced query processing features,improves data warehouse query performance by hundreds to thousands of times in some cases,and can routinely give a tenfold speedup for a broad range of decision support queries. We describe the fundamentals of column store technology, and how to create applications using it in Microsoft SQL Server 2012. We also describe how you can migrate your existing decision support applications to this amazing new capability.
