Hands – on Hacking Session with Apache CloudStack!
http://buildacloud.org/blog/292-hands-%E2%80%93-on-hacking-session-with-apache-cloudstack.html

Parantap Lahiri and Suresh Balineni from Juniper Networks started the meetup off with a presentation on, Cloud Network Virtualization with Juniper Contrail, giving an overview on the latest Contrail plugin by covering the architecture, capabilities and use cases. A demonstration on the current Contrail implementation on CloudStack was shown. Slides are available here.

Amogh Vasekar led the hands-on hacking session and started off with a demo of CloudStack using DevCloud. Then, he walked attendees through each step on how he got there and everyone learned how to build CloudStack from scratch, deployed databases and eventually configured their own DevCloud using Marvin. Slides are available here.

Amogh Hacking

Attendees were busily hacking on Apache CloudStack while Amogh, Edison Su, Animesh Chaturvedi and John Kinsella covered the room and helped hackers out when needed.

A huge thanks goes out to Amogh for giving a great hacking session and to the Apache CloudStack committers, Edison, Animesh and John for making sure all 40 attendees had their questions answered during the session. The next CloudStack Bay Area meetup will most likely be held after New Years. Stay tuned!

On behalf of the organizers (John Kinsella, Animesh Chaturvedi and myself), we want to thank SAP Labs for once again hosting the CloudStack SF Bay Area Users Group
