Andrew Binstoff, editor-in-chief of Dr. Dobb's Journal, recently explored in detail an important principle of continuous delivery (CD): checking absolutely everything into version control. While this doesn't completely answer the question "what is continuous delivery," it does offer a look into the discipline that's needed to make CD work.
