// Build AWS-compatible Private Clouds with CumuLogic

Industry's most flexible DBaaS Platform now empowers enterprises and Cloud Providers to deliver production-ready database services to their end users on Icehouse-powered clouds.

Santa Clara, Calif. – May 15, 2014 – CumuLogic, the leading innovator in private Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS), is pleased to announce that its DBaaS platform now supports OpenStack's latest release, Icehouse. The move will increase underlying infrastructure choices for developers and organizations using the CumuLogic DBaaS platform, bringing Amazon RDS-compatible DBaaS workloads to OpenStack Icehouse users. Backed by a global community with more than 15,900 individual members and 347 supporting organizations across 137 countries, OpenStack is an open source cloud operating system for public and private clouds.

"By adding support for OpenStack Icehouse, CumuLogic's DBaaS platform offers its users a powerful option for deploying MongoDB in a fully automated manner inside the firewall," said Matt Asay, VP of Business Development and Marketing at MongoDB. "We are pleased to be working with CumuLogic to help further simplify the developer experience through self-service and highly scalable MongoDB provisioning services."

"Nebula's mission is to provide our customers easily deployed private cloud infrastructure, and our partnership with CumuLogic means that this can include a production-ready Database-as-a-Service solution. By adding support for the Icehouse release of OpenStack, CumuLogic is demonstrating its commitment to support leading edge IaaS orchestration software." Chris C. Kemp, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Nebula, Inc.

"Offering Database-as-a-Service is absolutely key to being successful with a cloud environment," said Michael Basnight, Principal Engineer at Rackspace and former PTL of OpenStack Trove. "Users have come to expect self-service, scalable and fully managed database services from their Cloud Providers. Adding support for OpenStack's Icehouse release will allow CumuLogic's customers to quickly implement DBaaS in their private cloud environment."

The move further extends CumuLogic's commitment to OpenStack, and with this integration in place, OpenStack users can now rely on CumuLogic's DBaaS to deliver production-ready database services to their applications in private, public and hybrid cloud environments. CumuLogic platform also works out-of-the box with the Essex, Folsom, Grizzly and Havana releases.

CumuLogic's DBaaS suite is being leveraged by leading Telecommunication and Cloud Providers, as well as within forward looking enterprises that enable their application teams with the agility of Database-as-a-Service.
