Call for papers now open for distributed systems conference taking place in Las Vegas, October 2014

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Basho Technologies, the creator and developer of Riak, the industry leading distributed NoSQL Database, today announced RICON 2014, taking place October 27-29 at the Palms in Las Vegas. Previously hosted in separate events, this year's conference will bring together a larger audience of developers, industry leaders, partners, customers and community members to discuss a wider variety of experiences across the distributed systems and network ecosystem.

"With the continuing evolution of distributed systems, we felt it was important to host one unified event for the entire community to come together and share their knowledge," said Adam Wray, CEO of Basho. "Hearing perspectives and insight on distributed systems, NoSQL databases, performance optimization and DevOps processes from experts across the country will be an educational and thought provoking experience for all attendees. RICON will feature a training day, as well as two days of keynote presentations, in-depth sessions, technical tracks, panel discussions, cocktail events and more. The call for papers is now open and interested speakers are welcome to submit abstracts detailing experiences applying distributed systems and networks, data center innovations, deployment strategies, and real world experiences.
